Egg-cellent Easter Egg Competition

Every Easter the children of Black Mountain excel themselves by turning a boring hard-boiled egg into something amazing! This year was no exception! I'm so impressed with the creativity of my class. Congratulations to Caitlyn, who won a prize for her egg-traordinary beauty salon!

World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day on Friday 8th March, we dressed up as our favourite book characters. Can you guess who they are?

 

 

Even the teachers dressed up! Miss Harrison was a penguin from Mr Popper's Penguins, Miss Lyttle was a pirate and our student teacher, Miss Stockdale, was a Banana in Pyjamas!

Family Literacy Games

On Thursday 7th March we invited our mums, dads and other family members to join us for some fun playing literacy games. We had a great time and it was lovely to see so many families take part.

Spring has sprung!

Just look at all our colourful displays for spring and our new topics. We are very excited to learn all about flowers, minibeasts and Africa this term!

We had very special visitors to our classroom today - Georgia from Mrs Swann's class brought her snails in to see us as we are learning about minibeasts.
